In a sauce pan with a little olive oil, heat onions for sauce over medium heat. Add remaining sauce ingredients and bring to a simmer.
Combine all meatball ingredients in a large bowl and lightly mix together. In a skillet on med-high heat, roll meat mixture in golf-ball size balls and place into pan. Cook about 3-5 minutes, then flip and cook for 3-5 more. Add meatball into sauce mixture that is simmering on stove and cook until meat is cooked through (about 15 minutes).
